The best B&B

I can’t explain how amazing this b&b is. My parents came to visit me from Brazil, first time in Ireland and I wanted to show them how beautiful the nature in Ireland is and I couldn’t choose better place than this. Everything was perfect. Location, hospitality, breakfast. And I have to say Erica is a singular person. She made us feel like home. I’m already planing to go back as soon as possible and bring more people with me to live this experience too.

Beautiful and luxurious house and setting

I booked this at about an hour’s notice as our previous plans had fallen through. The hosts could not have been kinder and more welcoming and thoughtful to every little detail. I had an American relative with me and I was so proud of this wonderful Irish hospitality. My 2 young children had a super time too. And only 5 mins drive away from the stunning Glendalough. Will definitely go back 🙂

Simply amazing

Stayed here for 2 nights on the October bank holiday weekend. I was at the walking festival so I wanted somewhere within walking distance of the Brockagh Centre where all the walks started. Lovely room with everything I needed including a mini fridge which I wasn’t expecting. Lovely warm welcome when I arrived and John gave me some cake and chocolates to enjoy with a cup of coffee I could make in a lovely comfy sitting room. Breakfast the next day was lovely in the Wicklow Heather restaurant. Would recommend staying here!

Beautifully furnished lodge

We stayed in Trooperstown Wood Lodge a few nights in January and had a wonderful experience. A proper hot welcoming fire on arrival and the friendly, faithful and helpful staff were great. The lifts back and forth to the Heather Restaurant were brilliant. The place is really tastefully furnished and decorated – very cosy. Highly recommended.

Everything fantasticu

4 of us booked in for 3 days. Rooms great, Wi-Fi in lounge brilliant..bit iffy in other rooms, free coffee and tea in lounge, free transport to and from breakfast. A bargain as superb breakfast included 5 minutes down the road. The icing on the cake is Erica. She is a fountain of knowledge and the nicest lady you could meet.

Enjoyable night

Only stayed the one night but will definitely be back. The room was beautiful and the staff couldn’t do enough for you. Can’t speak highly enough about Trooperstown. Erica was so welcoming and could not do enough to make us feel comfortable and relaxed.

Lovely stay from start to finish, WILL BE BACK

Upon arrival we were greeted by Erica, who was so welcoming and friendly. We got a free upgrade to the apartment which was separate to the house so that was a great bonus. The house is itself was clean, fresh flowers everywhere and anything you needed Erica was able to assist you. We didn’t have the breakfast but judging on our dinner the standards are high.

Really lovely stay

Very nice rooms, like a hotel. Lovely staff, beautiful location in Wicklow. We were driven from the lodge to the nearby restaurant (owned by same people I believe) and had a very nice and long meal there and were picked up afterwards, which was great and made life easier. Would definitely recommend this place to a friend and would love to return – especially in autumn when Wicklow looks best!

We just left our stay here. We were only here for one night but such kind people. Thank you Erika for being so kind! Also we were picked up by Dennis and had a lovely dinner in Wicklow Heather. Thank you Dennis for the fun little book tour! We had a great time.

Warm hospitality, delicious breakfast, beautiful room

We were very warmly welcomed by our host, were very comfortable in our room, and the breakfast we enjoyed at the Wicklow Heather restaurant was absolutely delicious. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay!
